Western Europe
Ireland's chart is roughly 85% UK / US imports, with domestic acts struggling to break through enough that the Official Charts Company runs a separate Irish Homegrown Chart for visibility. Hozier, Dermot Kennedy and CMAT carry the indie-folk and Irish-Americana flag at the top of the local list. A small but loud Irish-language rap scene, led by Kneecap, has been a 2020s surprise. Traditional Irish music still anchors live performance and tourism more than streaming.

Generational / regional / economic split
Younger Irish listeners are functionally inside the US / UK pop chart and have been for years, with US country also booming in the country. In Cork, Galway and rural Ireland, traditional Irish music holds steady at pub sessions and weddings. Older listeners maintain the folk-singer canon of The Dubliners and Christy Moore. The Irish-language rap scene is small in raw numbers but disproportionately influential in cultural discourse, partly because of its political content.
