Finland
Northern & Eastern Europe
Finland's Top 20 runs roughly 90% Finnish-language music, the most language-protective major chart in Europe. New-generation Finnish-language rap and pop-rap around Mirella, Lauri Haav, Samuell and Louna0nline rotate at the top, with TikTok pushing fresh names onto the chart constantly. The Finnish metal scene that exported Nightwish and HIM has more or less left the singles chart โ those acts now live in concert revenue and back catalog rather than in streaming peaks. The chart turnover is unusually fast even by European pop standards.

Generational / regional / economic split
Younger listeners are almost entirely in Finnish-language rap, with rapid social-media-driven cycling of who's on top. Older listeners stay close to Schlager and Iskelma, the longstanding Finnish popular-song tradition. The Sami yoik tradition in the north is protected and supported as cultural heritage rather than charted as commercial music. The taste gap between Helsinki and provincial Finland is narrower than the country's size would suggest โ a fairly homogeneous chart by European standards.
